The first is from the local high school where all the new students paint silk stars which are stuffed and attached to a giant quilt. The idea is when you graduate you get your star back, plus the message you write to yourself inside it.
The next two are from a seniors group that were making birthday cards for Shane Bernier, a young cancer patient from Lancaster, Ontario who is hoping to set a world record for most birthday cards received.
